Organizations
do encourage their employees by motivating in monetary or promotional benefits.
The company does invest on the sole purpose of having the company profits to increase;
at the same time they wanted their staffs to have become a successful
professional. When employees are trained they will performing with minimal
level of supervision, time saving and cost effective manner. That is something
that the company will be happy to see the company’s performance being gradually

Why
training and development needed ?
Businesses needed their staff to get trained and developed. Getting
their staff to get trained in their professional training program will give
their staffs to get developed their skills as well as the employer can make the
productive staffs to work more effectively (Hasan,
D., et al., 2022).
Coaching, training sessions, and leadership mentoring are
some of the training program tools through which the employee gets trained. Through
training session employees gets a new exposure to knowledge or a development in
their skills. These elements will help to reach the organization goals to a
wider range.
Employee Performance
Performance
of an employee is measured based on his activities in the organization. Employee
performance can be an individual’s own performance, yet this can make a greater
change in terms of the organization.
Quality,
efficiency, and effectiveness of an employee’s output are some of the examples
for an employee performance. The training program that the employer invests on
the employee can have the return of the investment by the employee’s
performance and activities on their job (Atatsi,
E.A., et al 2019).
A
good and a positive note employee is a great asset to the company. He or she
can be performing towards enhancing the profits, minimizing the costs, ensuring
customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Training and Development Enhance Employee Performance
If
we need to enhance the employee performance, then the organization needs to
invest on the training and development program. Mozael,
B.M., (2015) highlights that “As long as training becomes a major method or way
to improve organizational performance, training activities contribute to
enhance employee capabilities, skills,
knowledge and attitude because trained employees perform their tasks
efficiently rather than untrained employees. The main contribution of the
proposed solution is to create a new method to provide employees with practical
training, to save cost for the organization and increase employee performance
through the integration of the dynamic training method and diagnosis of poor
performance or skills which require training as an efficient solution to increase
organizational performance”
Below
are the main types of employee training and development available for
employees:
- Management training
- Sales and Customer Service training
- On the Job training
- Mentoring programs
- Apprenticeships
Impact
of training on employee performance
Kuruppu,
C.L et al.,(2021) have shown that training and development will give a great
impact of the performance. The impact might have certain difference when it is
being judged on difference industries.
Below
are some reasons that performance can impact on the employee performance:
Ø Increased productivity: When employee gets proper
training that can lead to better performance and increase the company growth in
terms of productivity and profits.
Ø Improved quality: Training can make the employee work
much better in terms of their work and can create less issue and keeps a low
profile on the situations.
Ø Enhanced customer service: As customer is king, once
the employee is well trained and gets the necessary development and knowledge
it can enhance the service render to the customer.
Ø Reduced errors and accidents: When you have the
necessary training mainly in crisis management, then you can have the risks at
the minimal level and can create a accident free zone.
Ø Increased employee satisfaction: Without having an untrained
staff team, trained staff members can be more productive as they feel more safe
and light on their work that their doing.
Ø Reduced staff turnover: With the training at the right
place for the right people can help to reduce the staff turnover in the
organization. This might help companies to have their overheads on staff
training at the minimal level, which can help to the company to focus in other
investment appraisal.
A
proper and a very employee oriented training and development program can help
the employee and the employer to have gain benefits on their own accords. But only
the correct training to the correct person is given. If a decision by the
organization had a negative effect towards the training program can have a
major impact of the training and development regardless how much the company
invest if the program is not suitable or if the person who is in the program is
not ready to coup (Murphy, K.R., 2020).
